Summer is just around the corner and it means a lot of fun, outdoor summer parties, outing with friends and what not! Though it also brings with it scorching heat, sunburns and that uneven suntan. While the former is welcomed, the latter is much disliked. It is wise to make preparations in advance to deal with the damage of harmful UV rays on our skin. So the question arises how to accomplish that? Well, worry not because here we are sharing some wonderful de-tanning tips that will help get rid of sun tan and the sun burns with ingredients that are readily available at home.
Just take one tomato and make a paste of it and apply on your skin. Afterwards, rinse with water.
Orange/Lemon Peel and Rose Water
You need sun-dried orange/lemon peels and then grind them to get a fine powder. You can store this powder for further use too. Now take 2-3 spoonfuls of the powder and add rose water to make a paste. Apply that paste on your skin where tanning or sunburns are and exfoliate for 5-10 minutes then wash it off with cold water. If you have really sensitive skin, then avoid lemon peel and only use orange peel as former can cause irritation.
Simply cut a leaf of aloe Vera from the plant and rub the gel gently on your skin. Let it dry and then wash and you are done.
Wash, cut and make the paste of one cucumber and apply on tanned area. Leave for 10 minutes and rinse. It will not only help get rid of tanning but will also help you relax.
Take 4-5 tablespoons of yoghurt and add a pinch of turmeric powder in it. Apply on your skin, let it dry and then wash with cold water.
