For Years, Home Alone has been my favorite flick around Christmas time and Kevin McCallister, the 8-year-old little boy in the movie who gets left behind while his whole family leaves on a christmas vacation, has been a Hero to many kids.
Kevin’s character played by Macaulay Culkin, is an exceptionally smart kid who fends for himself for a whole week living alone in a big house. Not only this, the eve protects his house burglars, entertaining us all along the way.
However, this Christmas will have something unexpected and different to offer as a grown up Kevin has returned and boy is he messed up! Macaulay has returned brining in a twist of the worst in a web series called DRYVRS in which Kevin McCallister all grown up, ends up becoming a cabbie and he is still pretty disgruntled because of what happened so many years ago.
A disturbed Kevin opens up to a fellow passenger saying, “It’s fucking Christmas and your whole family goes on a vacation and they forget their eight-year old son”, he frets.
“All by yourself in the house for a week. I had to fend off my house from two psychopath home invaders. I was just a kid. I still have nightmares about this bald weirdo dude chasing me around, talking like Yosemite Sam. They remembered my bastard of a brother, but they forget me, the cutest fucking eight-year-old in the universe,” he added.
And that’s when a carjacker turns up and you get to see Macaulay Culkin bring out some old tricks playing the Good old Kevin who was once a pretty smart ass kid.
In this series Macaulay gives shows us a completely different picture of the movie and gives us a piece of what could have happened if Kevin actually grew up to all those dark memories? Did anyone of us see that coming? Don’t think so!
