Yes, the famous British Broadcast Channel, featured two clips of the wrong person while reporting the death of veteran Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor. It all happened on Monday’s News at Ten when the two video clips were played as presenter Huw Edwards announced the demise of 79 years old Bollywood legendary actor Shashi Kapoor, who died the same day at 5.20 p.m.

You will be surprised to know that the two people who were showed during the reporting were Shashi Kapoor’s nephew Rishi Kapoor and living legend of the Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan. However, later, the BBC apologized for its mistake.

Yes, the programme’s editor Paul Royall took the Twitter on Tuesday to apologize for the mistake hours after the bulletin was aired. In his tweet, he wrote, “BBC News at Ten is very sorry wrong images were used to mark the death of Shashi Kapoor. Not our usual standards and I apologize for any upset.” 

However, their mistake got the huge criticism from the social media users uptill then. In a statement, the BBC said:
