In the most simplistic terms, crying is the “natural” response that our body gives out when we face something completely different than expected! Firstly, there is nothing called natural because had it been natural, it would have effected everyone at the same rate, but we all respond differently, meaning crying is just another emotion to which our body reacts in the most bizarre manner and it all depends on us!!!
As per Wiki,’Crying is the shedding of tears in response to an emotional state. The act of crying has been defined as “a complex secrotometer phenomenon characterized by the shedding of tears from the lacrimal apparatus without any irritation of the ocular structures”. A related medical term is lacrimation, which also refers to non-emotional shedding of tears.
We all dwell in certain spheres of life and incidentally start falling for the conditions that we live in. We feel attracted to the people we think are like minded. But we never foresee a change of that “likeness”. Life is bizarre. Whenever we are hit by something unexpected our brain stops processing the casual stimulus but rather jerks with the hyper reaction that we provide to it as per the situation, making the body feel engulfed and teary. The level of shock varies from person to person because an average trauma just lasts for 0.2 seconds and rest is always our adherence to it in our psychology.
The more we ponder, the more we cry. It all depends on our capability to resist and accept the change! Our body is just a medium to the secretions of our extraordinary reactions.
