Sundar Pichai the new appointed CEO of Google, on wednesday announced that Google will be setting up a ‘Huge’ facility in the ‘City of Pearls’ as promised.
“Google is looking at hiring people from Bangalore and Hyderabad. We will also build a huge new campus in Hyderabad, to build capabilities,” he said in New Delhi. The proposed facility will be spread over two million sq feet, is expected to be the biggest one for Google outside US.
Tech Giant google is expected to invest in Rs. 1,000 crore in the project creating over 6,500 jobs in the city. The company will spend 12 months planning on construction in the 7.2 acres land alotted by the Telangana government at Gachibowli.
The construction will start aruound the summer of 2016 and will take around 2-and -a-half years till completion which means that the facility could be up and running as early as 2019.
