Police of Munich in Germany has been warned of a serious, imminent threat by the Islamic state (ISIS) group’s suicide bombers wanting to commit a terror attack on New Years’ eve and even asked therefore people to stay off the city’s main train station and a second train station in the neighborhood.
Munich police president Hubertus Andrae said German authorities had been tipped off by a foreign intelligence service that IS was planning attacks with five to seven suicide bombers, the German news agency dpa reported. Andrae said so far there hadn’t been any arrests.
Also, the warning came just hours before the city rang in the New Year said a Police spokesperson. He also said, “After evaluating the situation, we started evacuating the train stations and also asked partygoers to stay away from big crowds outside.”
Despite many warnings by the police people in thousands came out on the streets in Munich at midnight to welcome the New Year!
The spirit of Togetherness, Happiness and Celebration remained undying even in threats!
