‘Everyone everything in this country is undemocratic but Kanhaiya Kumar and his Brigade is Democratic in this Country.‘ The students of JNU on Tuesday who have been punished in order to be in a connection with a controversial event on campus acclaimed that they will neither pay any fines nor they will vacate their hostels as per the university orders. Adding some more words, JNU students specified that they will go on an indefinite hunger strike from Wednesday demanding withdrawn of orders.
In the 2nd week of Feb, Kanhaiya Kumar along with Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya were arrested on charges of sedition in connection with an event against hanging of Parliament attack convict AFZAL GURU during which anti-national slogans were allegedly raised. They are now out on bail.
The university on Monday rusticated some of the following students :-
Umar for one semester; Kashmiri student Mujeeb Gattoo for two semesters; and Anirban till July 15. Kanhaiya Kumar on his part has been penalised with Rs 10,000. 13 other students have been fined with varied amounts.
The fired up JNU party president Kanhaiya Kumar adding to his words said that : “We have rejected the so-called high-level enquiry committee right from the day it was set up as an undemocratic and biased one so there is no point accepting the punishment meted out to us on basis of its findings.”
