Juvenile Convict May Walk Free, Crime Has Won Says Nirbhaya's Mother

It has been three years since the horrific and brutal Nirbhaya Delhi Gang Rape that happenedon 16th December 2012. And now with The High Court refusing to Stay the release of the Juvenile Convict in the Nirbhaya Delhi Rape Case, Jyoti Singh’s parents are distraught and in tears. Jyoti Singh is the real name of the victim who suffered the Brutal Gang rape and lost her life while battling with the injuries.

Jyoti’s mother Asha Singh has expressed her disappointment in the Court’s verdict. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy had urged the court to not release the juvenile, claiming he had been “radicalised” while in the reform home. “This has sent a wrong message. I have been fighting for justice but today, crime won,” said Nirbhaya’s mother Asha, who had previously said that her daughter’s real name was Jyoti Singh and that she had no reason to feel any shame in revealing it.

 Asha Singh took on to the Political class who ‘Promised’ them justice saying, “Because of political games, we poor people are always hurt,” she told Times Now. “They said they are working, they made promises. Don’t know how many girls will be sacrificed in the process,” she added.
The Juvenile Convict who was under 18 years at the time he was arrested for the Rape and murder of a Student of Paramedics was tried under the Juvenile Justice Act and was ordered to be kept in Remand home for three years.
