India has been discussing the concept of peace with Pakistan from the last 69 years, yet we never succeeded in controlling Pakistan over their illegal tactics against our country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi (in a reprise version of politics) stated that “India cannot walk the path of peace alone and want Pakistan to walk along with a clear approach towards terrorism”.
He also recalled his efforts to reach out to Pakistan – invite to Nawaz Sharif for inauguration of government in May 2014 and his surprise visit at Lahore in December 2015.
Addressing on the second day of Raisina Dialogue– India’s primary foreign policy dialogue organised here by MEA & Delhi-based prestigious think tank Observer Research Foundation, he also pointed out the opportunity and challenges facing in tackling China.
India-Pakistan relationship should be of top priority for both the governments, but neither of them are trying to promote Peace. It can only be achieved by having a roundtable conversation and conscious discussion. And the bottom line is that we citizens really dont know what kind of policies our governments is adopting to achieve mutual goal.
Road To Peace
Also both the Governments know that Road To Peace is full of obstacles, but sadly they are hardly acting or acting too slow to complete this journey together.
We have to organise platforms, meetings and a common podium to discuss issues and try to solve them in a diplomatic manner and the most important step is to take citizens along with officials.
At the end of the day whether it is India or Pakistan everyone wants Peace and Prosperity.
