A shocking real life Hunger Game- style TV show called “Game2: Winter” is set to start filming this July. The show has already sparked controversy after its rules promised to allow “fighting, murder and rape”. Set on a remote Siberian Island, Players will be armed with knives and could face nine months of hell as they tackle wolves and bears on the Ob River.
What is Game2: Winter?
Starting in July 2017, Game2: Winter will see 30 participants, evenly split between men and women. All will be competing for a £1.3 million prize. Participants will have to pay £132,000 as an entry fee and their struggles and sufferings will be filmed by 2,000 fixed cameras and broadcast live online 24/7. The show is translated into English, Spanish, Chinese, German, Arabic and French. The rules of the contest stated as:
“Everything is allowed. Fighting, alcohol, murder, rape, smoking, anything.”
But the Organizer of the show, Yevgeny Pyatkovsky, 35, told The Siberian Times: “No, we won’t allow “physical violence, rape, a murder.” I am pretty sure there will be fights and more. We are not scared of negative reaction if that happens either. We will refuse any claim of participants even if they were to be killed or raped.
He added: “We will have nothing to do with this. This will be spelled out in a document to be signed by the participant before the start of the show.”
