Sufficient Sleep is all you need to enjoy a long and well-pleased sex life, recommending a new research involving over 93,000 women.
The study has confirmed that sound sleep would lead to better sex for women. Shorter sleep time generally decreased the sexual functions in post -menopausalÂ women.
JoAnn Pinkerton, Executive Director, North American Menopause Society (NAMS) has said that-:
“Women and healthcare providers need to recognise the link between menopause symptoms and inadequate sleep and their effects on sexual satisfaction,”
Studying data from 93,668 women aged 50 to 79 years, the researchers found that shorter sleep durations were related to less sexual satisfaction. According to a study published in Menopause, the journal of The North American Menopause Society, if the older women slept less than seven to eight hours per night, they were likely to be less sexually active than younger women.
