A powerful Syrian Terror Group’s Leader Zahran Alloush, in the eastern suburbs of Damascus was killed in an aerial raid that targeted the group’s headquarters.
The Jobar neighborhood of Damascus is the epicenter of the most fierce and powerful Islamist insurgent group refusing to give up their stronghold over the area. Before the conflict in Syria erupted in 2011 Jobar was home to more than 300,000 residents. The suburb also contained a number of ancient landmarks, most notably the Green Synagogue, the oldest Jewish synagogue in the world.

The place now, however, has been completely destroyed with repeated air strikes and bombardments ever since Russia began an aerial campaign on Sept. 30 in support of its ally Assad, although Moscow has insisted that it is concentrating its attacks on Islamic State, as shown in an exclusive footage shot by a drone flying overhead Damascus.
The death of Zahran Alloush is a big blow to the rebel group and the disarray created among the group can even consolidate Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s control over the region.
