Privately owned Chinese electronics company, Xiomi is on threshold to launch its first 2017 phone named “Redmi Note 4” on Thursday. The company is holding a launch event in New Delhi that is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am. You can watch the Live stream at c.mi.com/in or below.

The Xiomi Redmi Note 4 was initially launched in China in August last year, with MediaTek deca-core SoC and metal body. Looking at variants launched till now, the company may launch Qualcomm processor variant in India. It is also equipped with fingerprint scanner at the rear panel.

In China the phone was launched in two variants – 2GB of RAM/32GB ROM which was priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs 9,000) while 3GB of RAM/ 64GB ROM was available at CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs 12,000). We can the roughly same price in India.

The dual SIM (Micro+Nano) Redmi Note 4 runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports 5.5 inch full HD display. The phone is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU but as mentioned above the company could launch other variant also.

The Xiomi Redmi Note 4 supports a 13 megapixel rear camera with phase detection auto focus, an f/2.0 aperture and dual tone LED flash. The phone has a 5 megapixel front camera with 85 degree wide angle lens. The phone supports expandable storage via microSD card upto 128 GB in a hybrid dual SIM card configuration.
