Initially, India won the toss but chose to bowl first. Sabbir Rahman’s 77 runs helped Bangladesh in scoring 166 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. The important thing here is that Bangladesh scored 100 runs in the last 10 overs.
In the last 7 overs, 70 runs were required while Rohit Sharma and Manish Pandey were still on the crease but Rohit’s wicket slowed down the run rate and new batsman Vijay was not been able to hit some big shots. As the result, India only managed to score 36 runs in next 5 overs.
