1. Ip Man (July 21)

2. August: Osage County (July 26)
This tragicomedy film, which stars some of the top actors in Hollywood, is an adaptation of Tracy Letts’ 2007 Pulitzer Prize–winning play. Meryl Streep’s cancer-stricken and drug-addled Violet Weston (Julia Roberts), together with her three daughters Barbara (Julianne Nicholson), Ivy (Julianne Nicholson), and Karen (Juliette Lewis), reunite with their sister Mattie Fae (Margo Martindale). Meryl Streep was nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars, and Julia Roberts was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
3. Flight (July 31)
In this surprise addiction story, Denzel Washington plays “Whip” Whittaker, an airline pilot. A mechanical problem prevents a flight from plummeting thanks to Whittaker’s rapid thinking. The investigation that was required to be conducted revealed that the alleged hero was under the effects of cocaine and alcohol.
4. Julie and Julia (July 31)
Chef Julia Child’s cookbook contains 524 recipes, and Julie Powell (Amy Adams) vows to prepare them all in a year. The movie contrasts Julie’s life as she takes on this self-imposed endeavour with Julia’s life during the initial phases of her profession. The script was adapted by Nora Ephron from two books: Powell’s memoir Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen (later retitled Julie & Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously) and Child’s autobiography My Life in France.
5. The Pursuit of Happyness (July 31)
The Pursuit of Happiness, which is based on the same-named book, is a genuine account of author Christopher Gardner’s rags-to-riches journey. Chris’ wife leaves him as an unpaid intern while he concurrently takes custody of their son because she is fed up with his unsuccessful professional career and their financial situation. Will Smith and Jaden Smith, his real-life son, play the father and son duo in the film.
6. Skyfall (July 31)
The 23rd James Bond film in the franchise is one of the series’ strongest installments, fusing Bond’s vintage sensuality with the distinctive action of modern blockbusters. When M’s history starts to haunt her, Bond’s allegiance to his overseer is put to the test.
7. Stepmom (July 31)
This heartbreaking film, which stars Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, and Ed Harris, is directed by Chris Columbus and tells the tale of a terminally sick lady who must deal with her ex-husband’s new partner, who will be the stepmother to their children. When Jackie (Susan Sarandon) receives a cancer diagnosis, things start to shift because she despises Luke’s (Ed Harris) new wife Isabel (Julia Roberts).
8. Underworld (July 31)
This film series, which combines action, horror, and science fiction, is a classic dark fantasy from the early 2000s. It follows human Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman) and elite vampire warrior Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as they become embroiled in the conflict between vampires and werewolves.
9. Sing 2
Willing koala In the world’s glittering entertainment centre, Buster Moon and his all-star ensemble of animal performers are getting ready to debut a stunning stage extravaganza. The only catch is that he needs to locate and convince the most secretive rock star in the world to join them.
