Facebook creates a new milestone this month as Facebook now has 2 billion monthly users on its platform. Two billion people on its platform makes Facebook the largest social network website in terms of logged-in users, above YouTube’s 1.5 billion, WeChat’s 889 million, Twitter’s 328 million and Snapchat’s estimated 255 million. Beyond YouTube, only Facebook’s other apps have more than 1 billion, including WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, with 1.2 billion each.
Mike Nowak, Product Director of Facebook said in its blog on Facebook Newsroom,“We reached a new milestone: there are now 2 billion people connecting and building communities on Facebook every month. This wouldn’t have happened without the millions of smaller communities and individuals who are sharing and making meaningful contributions every day. Each day, more than 175 million people share a Love reaction, and on average, over 800 million people like something on Facebook. More than 1 billion people use Groups every month.”
