Recently took a dig at Alia Bhatt‘s starrer film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Reacting to the viral post of Alia she slammed the casting of Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Without taking the names she said that the film has a very wrong casting. Moreover, she also took to her Instagram stories to openly wrote: “This Friday 200cr will be burnt to ashes at the box office … for a papa (movie mafia daddy) ki pari (who likes to keep a British passport) because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act… biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting…yeh nahi sudhrenge (these people won’t change) no wonder screens are going to South and Hollywood films … Bollywood is destined for doom jab tak movie mafia has power…”

Coming to the film’s storyline. It is a biographical crime drama Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada. Based on Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ Gangubai. Who was a sex worker in the red light area of Kamathipura. She was sold into prostitution at quite a young age and later after overcoming all this she finally started ruling the red light area of Kamathipura. Alia Bhatt is playing a pivotal role in this film. Apart from Alia, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Shantanu Maheshwari, Seema Bhargava Pahwa, Indira Tiwari, and Varun Kapoor. The film was supposed to be released earlier, but due to covid, it was postponed. However, it will now be in the cinema on February 25.
