There are two people X and Y. They are married to each other. Then the third person Z comes in between and develop a sexual relationship with X’s wife Y. Now, what do you call it? Casual sex? But what about X? He might be felt cheated or hurt. And he should be! But do you know that in our Indian Pineal Code there is a section that justifies this not so relevant relationship?
You perhaps won’t believe it but under IPC Section 497, the Adultery Law, wife Y can make a sexual relationship out of her marriage with another person X. But the condition is Z has to seek a permit for that from husband X in order to undergo a consensual sexual intercourse.
This worst section of IPC, 497 deals with Adultery law in India. According to this law, a woman cannot be punished for the offence of adultery. Only a man who has developed a sexual relationship with the wife of another man without his consent can be punished under this offence in India.
