In Monkey Man, actor Dev Patel will let loose his inner John Wick. On April 5, the action thriller will be released in theaters all around the world. Hollywood production company Universal Pictures released the official teaser on Friday, which featured amazing battle and pursuit scenes that were expertly staged. Dev also makes his directing debut with the movie.
Dev Patel action star
“’Dev Patel action star’ is the horniest, most feral thing I can think of. Who tf saw The Green Knight and didn’t see that vision? Thanks to Jordan Peele I’m be soaked in a theatre watching a movie called Monkey Man,” wrote a user.
A James Bond film
A user brought out the fact that Dev Patel, like Idris Elba, has released a James Bond film.. “Shout out to Dev Patel and Idris Elba for essentially saying “f*ck it, you won’t make me Bond? Ill do it myself… #MonkeyMan #Luther,” said their post.
Original story
Someone wrote, “I don’t want to hear a word about there being no original movies, how POC should make their own films instead of playing white heroes, or lamenting about movies being sent to streaming if you don’t go see Monkey Man in theatres and are able.”
Desi John Wick
Monkey Man was dubbed the “Indian John Wick” by another user. In the teaser, Dev is shown battling in a ring, going up against Sikandar Kher in hand-to-hand combat and also going up against several criminals in a manner that is similar to the retired assassin played by Keanu Reeves in the four John Wick films. Coincidentally, Monkey Man is also supported by Thunder Road Films, one of the makers of the John Wick series.
Hollywood remake of Animal
Monkey Man has been compared by one user to the Hollywood remake of Animal, the current Bollywood hit film starring Ranbir Kapoor. “If #Animal was made in Hollywood, it would look like #MonkeyMan. Much much better of course,” stated their post.
About the film
