On Monday, IMDb launched the list of best 50 Indian web series of all-time. Amongst the plethora of OTT content available online, Sacred Games starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan, Prime Video’s Mirzapur starring Ali Fazl, Pankaj Tripathi among others, and SonyLIV’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story have been listed in the top slots.
Yaminie Patodia, chief of IMDb India, averred in a press statement, “The top two series on our list (Sacred Games and Mirzapur) celebrate their five-year anniversaries, and we’re excited to help chart the short but impactful history of web series in India.”
Indian shows have received ranking based on the page reviews of IMDb customers between the span of January 1, 2018 to May 10, 2023. The top five rated ones are: The Harshad Mehta Story (9.3/10), Aspirants (9.2/10), Gullak (9.1/10), TVF Pitchers (9.1/10), and NCR Days (9.1/10).
