There is no doubt that year 2020 proved to be one of the worst years, which shook humanity badly. Back to back natural disaster brutally effective everything and has been one of the worst times to be alive on this planet. In fact, the year has come to an end but the pandemic still continues to affect people’s life. And claimed millions of lives across the globe. It was quite an unlucky year as the entire globe witnessed every disaster from locust swarm attack to earthquakes and cyclones and the Pandemic.
It was a deadly year for everyone but now it’s coming to the end and we hope that in the year 2021 will be better than this. So here is a year-ender. Here is the list of disasters that badly affected humanity in 2020.
# Australian Bushfire 2019-20:
The year 2020 started with the already raging Australian Bushfire. It was the deadliest natural disaster that Australia experienced and had a bad effect on the temperature too. The havoc spread to approx 18 million hectares of area and killing over 400 people.

# Floods in Indonesia:
On 1st January there were heavy rains in Jakarta that flooded the entire region of Jakarta and its neighbourhood areas. The overflowing of rivers led to damage to property and loss of life. As per the reports approximately 66 people lost their lives during the flash floods and the most shocking thing was that almost a population of 4 lakh people was displaced from their homes.

# Coronavirus Pandemic:
It all started when China reported the first case of coronavirus in Wuhan. But the whole world was unaware that one day this deadly virus will spread so badly across the globe. In March, the WHO declared the coronavirus as a worldwide pandemic. The havoc by coronavirus increased badly and at present, nearly 7.4 crore people have been afflicted by the coronavirus. Not just it affected but almost 16 lakh people lost their lives in this pandemic, which brought grief and suffering all over.

# Swarms of Locusts 2020
The desert locusts are one of the deadliest migratory pests that can eat as much food as 35,000 people can eat. These pests can exist in a 1 square kilometer area. Every 26 years there is pest attacks and, it is being said that there was a sudden increase of these locusts this year due to a change in the climate. In India, videos of the locusts swarming circulated this year. The states of Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh have seen the effects of these pest attacks.

# Cyclone Amphan
Amphan was one of the deadliest storms that make landfall in India and Bangladesh. Amphan hit the coastal areas of Bangladesh and Eastern India in the month of May. The tropical storm brought huge destruction and took the life of almost 12 people. It caused landfalls, heavy rains, gust windows, and lightning.

# Assam Floods:
Another disaster that disturbed every one was Assam floods. People experienced these heavy rains and as a result, have been negatively affected in the form of floods. As per the information almost 128 villages,and 5 districts were harmed by this.
