According to the latest reports, Chandrayaan-2 is all set to land on the surface of the moon. Now, the government has selected over 60 students to witness this historic moment along with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
How these students got selected?
To select these students from all over the nation, ISRO had conducted a ‘Space Quiz’ for students from the eighth to the tenth standard. The winner was chosen with the most number of correct answers in 10 minutes. The Chandrayaan -2 is scheduled to land on September 7, 2019.
Students from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Odisha etc are chosen on the basis of the ISRO quiz.
These students are among 60 students who will be able to watch India’s world-famous yet ambitious moon mission Chandrayaan-2 landing on the surface of the moon in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru on September 7.
Two students from every state are being selected for the event on the basis of the online quiz.
