The New York City is seen smothered in smoke due to the Canadian wildfires. The place was recently termed as a highly polluted city.
The air levels have been recorded to be “hazardous” with air quality worse than South Carolina. The haze has covered Eastern US with Northeast region immensely.
People have been recommended to not steo out or if they do best quality masks like N95 or KN95 must be carried. Canada is also witnessing a bad wildfire season.
Leading to bad visibility, more than 400 fires are ablaze of which 240 have been “out of control”.
The fires have destroyed over 6.7 million acres of land across Canada. The climate issue had led to an intensified wildfire across the globe.
