A Bus Accident That Took Lives Of 33 Children Including 3 Adults In Tanzania

Tanzania is a famous east African country known for its wild grasslands. An incident happened here which shook everyone by horror — A school bus fell into a valley that took lives of thirty-two school children including two teachers and a driver. This was indeed a drastic event that took so many lives together.

This drastic incident happened in the city of Arusha in Tanzania’s northern Karatu District, on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. According to CNN reports,”The place where it happened is a hill, with a steep slope, and it was raining when the accident happened. We don’t know if the driver was new or if there was a mechanical defect,” Aruba Police Commander Charles Mkumbo said.

Two teachers and the bus driver died on the spot. Two of the students survived but are critically injured. These students were between 12-13 years of age and were on their way to another school to take an exam. Tanzanian President John Magufuli said, “The accident has cut short the dreams of students who were preparing to serve the nation”.
As per Tanzanian Government’s reports, each year more than 3000 people are killed on Tanzanian roads. This incident took so many lives of young children who could have done sop much for their country. Losing so many kids together is not only a loss to the families but to the country too. Nothing in the world can compensate the loss of the precious lives and will haunt the families of the victims forever.
