Remember the film Mela? In this film, Aamir Khan was seen sharing the screen space with a handsome and muscular hero named Faisal Khan. He was none other than his own younger brother. Faisal Khan did his first film in 1969. The name of the film was Pyar Ka Mausam. In this film, he played the role of young Shashi Kapoor. In the year 1988, he played the role of a villain in his brother Aamir Khan’s film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.
After that, he did films like Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander and Madhosh. But he failed to make it big in the Bollywood industry. Directors never took him in a lead role. In his whole film career, he did only 6-7 films. Even after being the brother of a superstar, he stopped getting films. He got disappeared from the industry. Bollywood industry forgot this aspiring actor with very good looks.
But then after years, he came into the limelight in 2007. Not for a film but for a controversy. He went missing and then traced at a farmhouse near Khandala two days later. He gave a very shocking statement to the media. He accused Aamir Khan of destroying his career as well as snatching his property that made him ran away from home. Amidst of that, a news came that both Tahir Hussin (father of Aamir Khan) and Aamir Khan filed separate court applications seeking Faisal’s custody.
While Aamir Khan said in his custody application that Faisal is suffering from Schizophrenia induced fear-psychosis, his father, on the contrary, claimed that Faisal is okay and just suffering from depression. Finally, Aamir’s father wins the custody battle. Faisal was schizophrenic, it is a type of mental disorder characterized by abnormal social behavior and failure to understand what is real. It all happened as he was depressed for not getting films. But now at present, things are better, he has recovered and the relation between the two brothers is also getting better.
