Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha had slashed down badly at the box office. The film which had managed to grab eyeballs was not successful enough to cross the standard ₹100-crore mark overseas. Interestingly, the film now shines through the OTT platform of Netflix. The audience is all praises for the movie and the endorsement had got it listed in the top charts. On Netflix, the film had been ranked at the top in India while it is listed in the second in the non-English movie category, worldwide.
According to the amalgamated data, Laal Singh Chaddha has a whopping watching hours of 6.63 million hours on the OTT platform. The movie released on the platform, last Thursday. It has also been reported that the film was broadcasted in 13 countries including Mauritius, Bangladesh, Singapore, Oman, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Malaysia and the UAE.
Fans took to the Twitter to share their views post watching the film. . “Despite of the verdict of the movie, this one scene from Laal Singh Chaddha is so special; hats off to Aamir Khan for pulling it off,” wrote a fan. Others praised Shah Rukh Khan’s much-talked-about cameo in the film. The actor played a de-aged, younger version of himself in the film. “The best reason to see Laal Singh Chaddha is @iamsrk cameo,” a fan tweeted.
Laal Singh Chaddha, is a Hindi adaptation of Forest Gumpp which managed to fetch the coveted Oscars. The film hit the cinemas on August 11 and earned a gross of ₹88 crore overseas. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the film also starred Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya, and Manav Vij in the pivotal roles.
