Malayalam film, The Great Indian Kitchen has now been made in Tamil starring actor Aishwarya Rajesh in the pivotal role. The filmmaker has released the official trailer of the movie and it looks larger than the original in terms of production and scale. However, as per the critics, originality lacks in this remake version.
Aishwarya will be seen playing the lead role in the garb of Nimisha Sajayan from the original film. R Kannan, who have contributed into the industry with hits like Jeyamkondan and Venthaan Vendraan is directing this film.
Kannan who is going through trying times in his career might possible trace a silver lining with this film. Alongside Aishwarya, Rahul Ravindran will be featured in the lead role in this film. The music is composed by Jerry Silvester Vincent.
The Great Indian Kitchen is a film inspired from real-life instance. It is a degrading and heart-wrenching display of women in the domestic household who reduced to the level of mere cooks and made indebted to the patriarchal rule.
