Nihar Pandya, the model turned actor who will be seen in Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The queen of Jhansi is grabbing all the attention with his recent statement. The actor was earlier in the news for his marriage plans as he announced that he is going to tie the knot with Bollywood singer Neeti Mohan.
But now he stated that, he wants people and media stop calling or referring him as Deepika Padukone’s ex-boyfriend. If you don’t know, let us tell you that, Deepika Padukone was in a relationship with him during her modelling days. They met in an acting school in 2005. They also lived together for 3 years. After Deepika got her first film offer she decided to move on.
Now, as Nihar is going to marry with Neeti he wants news headlines to stop addressing him as Deepika’s ex. The actor revealed that he has no bitterness in his heart for Deepika and that he wishes her happy married life. The actor also added that he wants to have an identity of his own. He said,
“She (Deepika) is happily married and there is no bitterness in my heart. In time all that one remembers are the good things. I wish her all the best in her married life. And I am sure she wishes the same for me. I only wish the headlines announcing my wedding wouldn’t refer to me as ‘Deepika Padukone’s Ex’. I’d like to think I have an identity of my own.”
Nihar and Neeti are going to marry on February 15, 2019. The pre-wedding functions of the two will be done on February 14, on Valentine’s Day. Tak Hai Jaan) among others.
