After a three-year-long battle against lung cancer, Bollywood actor Sitaram Panchal passed away. He was 54 and best known for his performances in Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 and Irrfan Khan-starrer Paan Singh Tomar.
On Thursday morning, he was rushed to the hospital after he complained of breathlessness where he died at at around 7.45 am.
According to the Indian Express, a relative of Sitaram said, “Sitaram Panchal passed away this morning. He had breathing difficulties. He was not keeping well for a long time.”
Speaking to Hindustan Times, his wife Uma said: “Ever since the cancer was detected in January 2014, he has taken Ayurvedic treatment. It was only recently that he started a new homeopathic medicine, following which, his condition worsened and we discontinued the medicines.”
In his last facebook post on July 20, the actor wrote: “Along with i am thankful to my family friends, relatives, colleagues and my fans who support and praying for my good health.”
Yesterday, the actor celebrated his twenty-sixth wedding anniversary. His son Rishabh had even shared a picture of the actor on his Facebook account.
