Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is releasing on January 25. The film is based on the life of Rani Lakshmibai, one of the key leaders in the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The film is directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranaut. Much before its release, the film grabbed many headlines. One of them was its actors who left the film in between. The reasons of them leaving the film are many. Let’s discuss!
Sonu Sood
Role – Maratha Army commander-in chief Sadhashivrao Bhau
Sonu Sood was about to play a pivotal role in the film. But he attracted the attention when he announced he is abandoning the film. The reason that came to light was bossy nature and constant interference of Ranaut.
However Kangana too reponded on it and said, “He is busy filming Simmba. He couldn’t give us tentative dates to match combinations with other actors.”
Swati Semwal
Role – Parvati, wife of Sadhashivrao Bhau
The another actor on the board is Swati Semwal. She said she quit the film as she felt that such kid of role is not good for her career. She also quoted that, “I am doing what I have to do for my career. And they have to do what they have to do for the film.”
Gulshan Devaiah
Role – Unknown
He was offered a very important role in the film but he refused it due to some personal reasons.
The makers of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi wanted this film as a multi-starrer. But due to Kangana Ranaut’s feminist and bold image in the industry, many stars refused to work in the film. The film is releasing tomorrow and we wish it a good luck at the box office.
