Rampur police had set up a team along with an inspector to execute a non-bailable warrant issued against former member of parliament (MP) and actor Jaya Prada. Know the reason why?
According to the recent reports Rampur police have initiated a search for former Member of Parliament and actress Jaya Prada. The police, led by an inspector, issued a non-bailable warrant against Jaya Prada in connection with two cases related to violations of the model code of conduct.
For those unaware Jaya Prada contested the Rampur seat on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket back in 2019, but faced two cases during the election for violating the code of conduct. One case accused her of inaugurating the constituency’s Swar area road in Noorpur village on April 19, 2019, while the second involved objectionable remarks made at a public meeting in Pipliya Mishra village by Khemri police. Despite court proceedings, the actress has been skipping court proceedings, which has led to the issuance of a non-bailable warrant.
To locate Jaya Prada, Rampur Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi formed a special team that searched her hideouts in Delhi and Hyderabad and even raided her Mumbai residence. However, the efforts proved useless and the team returned empty-handed after a week of searching. The police assert that the former MP ormer MP is absconding and will be apprehended soon to face the court’s proceedings. The search is still going on as the court has mandated the Rampur Police to present Jaya Prada on January 10. If she remains unidentifiable the Superintendent of Police will be required to appear in court to explain.
