The British singer-songwriter Adele fueled wedding suspicions when she referred to her two-year partner Rich Paul as her “husband.” On stage at a Las Vegas concert, the singer was responding to a fan’s query.
The 35-year-old Grammy laureate reportedly received a marriage proposal from a female admirer and said, “You can’t marry me. I’m straight, my love, and my husband’s here tonight.”
When her admirer urged, “Can you try?.” the singer replied in a humorous tone, “No, I don’t want to try. I’m with Rich. You’re crazy, leave me alone.”
When the singer announced her engagement, many followers on Twitter reacted:
When Adele and Rich were pictured together at an NBA basketball game in July 2021, their relationship became public knowledge.
A few months later, the singer referred to her partner, a sports agent, as “incredible” and “openhearted” in a Rolling Stone interview. She also said that their romance was the “easiest” one she had ever had.
Adele was spotted in 2022 with a diamond ring with a pear shape on “the” finger. But when questioned if her partner had proposed the marriage proposal she mentioned, “I just love high-end jewelry.” In a vulnerable moment last month, Adele admitted to the crowd during the “Weekends With Adele” residency concert that she was “ready to be a mom again soon” and that she already had a list of baby names prepared.
“I really want to be a mom again soon,” she wrote.
“So every time I see a name that I like, I write it down in my phone,” she further added.
Prior to 2019, the singer was wed to her ex-husband Simon Konecki. He and her have a 10-year-old son named Angelo. Contrarily, Rich is LeBron James’ agent and the father of three children from a previous union.
