In the past few days the internet has been brimming with rumors stating Aamir Khan’s rife with Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha director. Advait took to his Instagram handle and clarified his stance against such claims, which he purported to be false. Alongside he posted a picture of Aamir where both are seen enjoying the bumpy ride of the waves. They both posed for the camera while holding surfing boards.
Advait captioned the picture stating, “Guys, for all those talking about a fall out between Aamir sir and me, I just want to say that we are like Genie and Aladin, Baloo and Mowgli, Amar and Prem.” Responding to it, Mona Singh who played the role of Aamir’s mom in the film, commented with lots of red heart emojis and said, “Always.”
The movie Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi remake of the original Oscar-award winning Forest Gump starring Tom Hanks. However, the contemporary Hindi remake could only manage to earn ₹88 crore overseas.
After the fallout of the movie, a report published by Midday read that Aamir and Advait are in a tussle after the underperformance of the film in the box office. The report also mentioned that the duo despite Avait being associated with Aamir Khan’s production unit for 15 years might not work together anymore.
Interestingly, despite slashing down at the theaters, Laal Singh Chaddha got immense love from the OTT audience after its release on Netflix. The film quickly emerged as the top film in India and earned the ranking of number 2 in the non-English film across the world. Apart from India, the film is also launched in Mauritius, Bangladesh, Singapore, Oman, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Malaysia and the UAE.
