In Uttar Pradesh, things are getting worse with each passing day. Within a span of one month, around 340 children have lost their lives at two state government hospitals, BRD Medical College Hospital and government hospital in Farrukhabad district.
According to the reports received, 49 children (30 newborns) have died at the district hospital in Farrukhabad in August. Health officers stated that majority of the children that were brought here were in critical condition.
Gorakhpur’s Horror Continues
A total of 290 children have died in the Baba Raghav Das Medical College in the month of August. 25 children died within 24-hours on Tuesday alone.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given controversial remarks on the increasing number of deaths of children in the state. According to the Kashmir Reader, Yogi said: “There may come a time, when the people will abandon their children, when they reach the age of one or two years, seeking the government to take care of them.”
Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi hasn’t broken his silence till yet in this case. People are waiting and hoping that both CM Yogi and PM Modi will take necessary steps and improves the health condition of India’s most populous state, Uttar Pradesh.
