Residents Doctors Association of AIIMS has criticized the Uttar Pradesh government or in simple words, we can say, Yogi’s government for their decision to remove Dr. Kafeel Ahmad, the hero who allegedly saved Children’s Lives as the BRD Medical College and Hospital battled an oxygen supply shortage.
On Sunday, he was removed as the nodal officer for the Department of Pediatrics. According to the reports, Dr. Ahmad personally arranged oxygen cylinders using his own money from outside.
President of AIIMS Residents Doctors’ Association, Dr. Harjeet Singh Bharti told NDTV which is reported by Janta Ka Reporter, “We’ve already said that doctors alone are n responsible. Health Secretary, principal all have to take accountability.”
He is replaced by Dr. Bhupendra Sharma. Meanwhile, Dr.Ahmad told Times Of India:
“It’s a smear campaign against me. I was only trying to help the children. I did everything from getting in touch with oxygen firms to ensuring prompt help to patients.”
Following Are The Controversies Against Him
Some report suggests that he was stealing oxygen cylinders from the hospital for his private clinic. Also as per reported by India Today, “how could the nodal officer be not aware of dwindling oxygen supply needed for his patients?”
Another series allegation is that he and the former principal Dr. Rajiv Mishra received a commission in every hospital purchased and both of them were also handled the deals with oxygen cylinder supplier- Pushpa Sales Pvt Ltd.
