Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the most gorgeous actress in Bollywood, turned fifty today. Although she is a well-known Bollywood celebrity and beauty queen, not many are aware that she debuted in the Mani Ratnam-directed Tamil film Iruvar.

Iruvar
In 1997, Aishwarya Rai debuted as an actor in the epic political drama Iruvar, directed by Mani Ratnam. It was a Tamil movie.She performed two roles in the film: Pushpavalli and Kalpana.
Jeans
In 1998, Aishwarya Rai returned to Tamil film with the love drama Jeans, following her Bollywood breakthrough. She portrayed Madhumitha, a little child, in the film. In Shankar’s movie, Aish received accolades for both her acting and dance abilities.
Kandukondain Kandukondain
In 2000, Aishwarya appeared in another Tamil film, “Kandukondain Kandukondain.” She portrayed Meenakshi, a gifted vocalist, in the film. In the movie, Tabu portrayed her on-screen elder sister.Mammootty, Ajith Kumar, and Abbas were among the ensemble of well-known performers in the Rajiv Menon film.
Raavanan
Aishwarya Rai played the brave Ragini in Raavanan, the wife of a police officer who is taken hostage by Veera. Her performance in the Mani Ratnam film received good reviews, and her part in the Ramayana was compared to that of Sita. In addition, the movie was concurrently shot in Telugu as Villain and in Hindi as Raavan, starring Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan in the key parts.
Chokher Bali

Chokher Bali, Aishwarya Rai’s debut Bengali drama, was adapted from Rabindranath Tagore’s book of the same name. Under the direction of Rituparno Ghosh, Rai portrayed the young widow Binodini. Prosenjeet Chatterjee and Raima Sen costarred along with her.
Enthiran
When Aishwarya was placed with Rajinikanth, the movie Enthiran, she described it as a dream come true. The former Miss World appeared in a science fiction film directed by S. Shankar as Rajinikanth’s girlfriend, Sana.
