Aishwarya Rai is currently playing two important roles, one in the musical comedy Fanne Khan, co-starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and other as a woman suffering from dissociative identity disorder in a remake of the 1967 film Raat Aur Din.
But, if reports on SpotBOYE is to be believed, Aishwarya Rai may play a surrogate mother in Jasmine. The film is the third collaboration of KriArj Entertainment (Prernaa Arora & Arjun N. Kapoor) and Shree Narayan Singh.
The plot is based on a real-life story of a woman in Gujarat who doesn’t want to have children but decides to become a surrogate mother for someone else. After a point she gets attached to the child and wants the child back.
Prernaa said: “We would love to have her but it will depend on her dates.
Why is Shree Narayan Singh not directing Jasmine?
Prernaa added: “Shree will be busy with Batti Gul Meter Chalu. That’s why we are launching two new directors. We will still have him as editor and co-producer.”
On the other hand, Shree also shared his viewpoints, “Jasmine is the journey of a girl to motherhood, of eternal love between a mother and a child. I have always wanted to work on a women-centric film and I’m able to do so.”
