Akira is a movie directed by AR Murugadoss, Sonakshi Sinha character name is “Akira”  in the movie which means “Graceful Strenght” in Sanskrit. Now, we can understand after watching the movie as to why it has been named Akira, because of the tough girl role played by Sonakshi.

The movie is about a girl called “Akira”, who is from a misfit family and is short tempered but good in studies. The story revolves around only her, and four corrupt officers, Anurag Kashyap is playing one of the corrupt officers and has done justice to his role. How Akira single handily faces those corrupt officers in order to prove her innocence. Sonakshi Sinha has done a lot of stunts in the movie, and they look real. Besides Sonakshi, Akshay Kumar, and Raai Laxmi has done cameos. And the rest of the cast includes Konkana Sen, Teena Singh, Amit Sadh, Urmila Mahanta, Atul Kulkarni has also done their best performances.

Sonakshi Sinha has done some wonderful roles like in “Lootera”, but this is her first action-packed movie and she has brilliantly done her role looking like a tomboy kind of girl. Akira is a women-centric movie, If you want to see an action-thriller movie then you should definitely watch “Akira”.
