According to a report by Mid Day, Lakshmi Bomb’s makers may release the film on Disney + Hotstar. Since the lockdown could be extended further.
Due to coronavirus, the entire country has been under lockdown for almost a month. And because of this reason, the film industry has suffered a lot. The cinemas will remain closed even after the lockdown ends, so the wait for the release of many films may increase even further. The films released this month are yet to appear on the screen and further film release schedule has been disturbed. In such a situation, the online platform is emerging as a good platform for movies. It is being told that Akshay Kumar can release his upcoming film Lakshmi Bomb on the OTT platform instead of releasing it in the theatre.
It is being told that the Post-production of the film is still pending, including editing, background music, mixing, etc. Presently the team is working from home, although it is taking more time for work. It is said that the film may be ready by June.
Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani are playing lead roles in the film. The film was slated to hit the theatre on May 22, but it is postponed now. However, official information is yet to come from the makers on the film’s release.
