Post the arrival of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, Akshay Kumar has busied himself with the promotions of his next film ‘Cuttputlli’. Touted to be a spine chiller, this film is scheduled for an OTT release next month.
During the trailer launch of ‘Cuttputlli’, Akshay was asked about his most awaited movie ‘Oh My God’. Hypotheses were rife that the film will drop in October this year, yet Akshay provided clarity over the same. When inquired as to whether the film will release on October 2, Akshay had shared, “Pehli baat hain ki October 2 ko Oh My God toh bilkul nahi ayega…aapke sutron ne galat bataya.”
Akshay also talked about the subject of movies not performing well at the box office, which includes his recent film ‘Raksha Bandhan’. He said, “Films are not working, it is our fault, my fault. I have to make changes, understand what the audience wants and there is nobody else to be blamed for it but me.” Helmed by Aanand L Rai, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ earned close to Rs 38 crore at the end of 9 days at the box office. The movie competed at the box office with Aamir Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which has earned Rs 51 crore till now. Up next, Akshay Kumar has a long list of films line up for release. He has ‘Selfiee’, ‘Gorkha’, ‘Capsule Gill’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Soorarai Pottru’ remake and ‘Ram Setu’ in the pipeline.
