Andy Serkis has been busy the last days promoting films he is in. One he also talked about was The Batman , in which he will be seen as Alfred Pennyworth.
Serkis’ version will be very different from what we have seen from Alfred so far. After all, he plays a somewhat younger version of Bruce Wayne’s well-known butler.
Hidden past?
During an interview with Comic Book Movie, Serkis talked about his version of the character. He took part in the interview for his new film. SAS: Red Notice and was asked if his character in that movie (George Clements) bears any resemblance to Alfred.
“I can’t tell you too much about this of course, then someone will kill me,” the actor joked. “Yes, I think there is some crossover, probably. But I can’t tell you more than that.”
Perhaps there is some past in Alfred when we see him in The Batman . In the comics he has a past as a spy, so we may see something of that now.
