Alia Bhatt has arrived in Seoul, South Korea, for the Gucci Cruise 2024 event at the Gyeongbokgung Palace, where she will make her acting debut. The actor appeared in front of the historic palace while carrying a transparent Gucci Jackie 1961 bag and wearing a black outfit with black platform heels. As Alia addressed her first fashion presentation as an ambassador, she grinned for the Korean media.
The first glance was shared by Vogue India in which Alia has been featured from her Gucci show. The portal captioned the pictures, “First look: Alia Bhatt (@aliaabhatt) has arrived at the #GucciCruise 2024 show in Seoul. The star makes an appearance as the Italian luxury house’s first Indian Ambassador in a black ensemble with cutout detail and a Gucci Jackie 1961 transparent bag.”
Fans reacted to the post, someone wrote, “Bag is empty so why alia is carrying.” Another wrote, “Bro the purse is meant to hold few things at least!” While some defended the actor, “Those who are saying purse is empty empty lmaoo your head also Empty.”
The actor was appointed the first Indian worldwide ambassador for the Italian company last week. Since opening its first store in Seoul in 1998, the company has been in business for 25 years. The main function room of the Gyeongbokung Palace, the Geunjeongjeon, where the primary royal festivities take place, will be the backdrop for the fashion show.
In preparation for her birthday on May 16, Alia enjoyed time with Thai actor Davika Hoorne earlier today. On Instagram, Davika published a photo of Alia and her from her celebration. She wrote, “Love (heart emoji)” Alia shared the post on Instagram Stories and wrote, “Happy birthday gorgeous.” Alia donned a black dress with a brown jacket, while Davika wore a blue top with a white jacket and complementing miniskirt.
This marks Alia’s second significant achievement on the world stage of fashion. She debuted at the Met Gala earlier this month wearing a Prabal Gurung white gown with Chanel-inspired details. Alia had posted about her look on Instagram. Alia posted earlier, “I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met. A girl can never have too many pearls… and the right accessories to complement the look which in our case translated to the bow of pearls on my hair. Oh, and it’s white, for my Choup-ED.”
