Amber Heard has recently fetched attention as the actress will soon be seen in Jason Momoa’s new Aquaman movie, however, her screen time is limited due to this reason.
Amber Heard is coming back in Jason Momoa’s new Aquaman movie, but here’s the twist. The actress thought of making her comeback but this time she won’t be on the screen as much as we expected. Yes, you heard it right Heard is all set to play Mera in Aquaman 2, but her role has shrunk a bit. The Business Insider revealed that she only gets to say about 11 lines when talking to Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. Despite being an important character in the story as Aquaman’s spouse and even giving birth her role is limited with not much talking, maybe because of some contract matter.
In the movie, we’ll see her for a short time, with 15-20 minutes total. Business Insider spills the beans, saying Mera is a ruler in Atlantis and talks about important stuff in council meetings. But then, during an attack on Atlantis, she steps in and gets seriously hurt by the bad guy, Black Manta. After the attack, Mera spends loads of time in getting better in the film. Finally, she comes back to help Aquaman and his half-brother, Orm, take down Black Manta. Even though Mera played by Amber has an interesting story, the movie mostly focuses on Aquaman and Orm, leaving Mera in the background.
Jason Momoa wasn’t sure about Amber being his movie girlfriend. She was kicked out because they didn’t think they looked good together on screen. Also, her matter with Johnny Depp made the director, James Wan, feel stressed. It all happened when Elon Musk stepped in to help Amber, sending a strong letter to Warner Bros, telling them to keep her in the movie. It worked because Warner Bros chose to keep Amber Heard in Aquaman 2.
