President Donald Trump gave his first address to a joint session of Congress on Feb. 28. He promised a new chapter of American greatness. “I am here tonight to deliver a message of unity and strength, and it is a message deeply delivered from my heart,” Trump said. During his speech, he stayed on on script and avoided the verbose, chaotic speeches he is known for.
In his 61-minutes address, Trump urged Americans to support him in rebuilding US and making the country strong again. Trump said: “America will be powered by our aspirations, not burdened by the fears, inspired by the future, not bound by failures of the past, and guided by a vision, not blinded by our doubts.”
President Donald Trump aligned himself with an Obamacare replacement platform: “Action is not a choice; it is a necessity. So I am calling on all Democrats and Republicans in Congress to work with us to save Americans from this imploding Obamacare disaster.”
Trump also paid tribute to William (Ryan) Owens, the Navy seal who was killed in the first counterterrorism attack Trump authorized as President, a raid on an Al Qaeda target in Yemen.
