Amitabh Bachchan is Shockingly Surviving on Just 25% Liver, Reveals Had Tuberculosis For 8 Years

Amitabh Bachchan is known as the living legend of Bollywood. The superstar of Bollywood has entertained the people for over 45 years by working in a number of hit films. He recently attended NDTV’s Swasth India launch. At an event, the actor was speaking to doctor Harsh Vardhan urging him to spread awareness about regular check-ups to facilitate early diagnosis.

Meanwhile, he made a shocking revelation about his health which is now grabbing all the attention. He said, “I am a tuberculosis survivor, Hepatitis B survivor… Bad blood infusion went in and 75 per cent of my liver is gone but because I was able to detect it even after a period of 20 years when 75 per cent of my liver is gone. I am still surviving on 25 per cent.

Yes, you read it right! Amitabh Bachchan is surviving on just 25 per cent of the liver. Talking about Tuberculosis, the actor said that there is a cure. “Then there is a cure. Even with Tuberculosis. I did not know for almost 8 years I was suffering from Tuberculosis. I keep saying that with immodesty if it can happen to me to anyone. Therefore if you are not willing to get yourself tested then you would never find out and there’s never going to be a cure for it.”

The 76-year-old star, who has been associated with various health campaigns like Polio, Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis and diabetes, urged people to get tested regularly and diagnosed so that they need not to suffer major health problems and will get treated before it gets too late!
