The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday demolished a wall belonging to a bungalow neighbouring actor Amitabh Bachchan’s residence, Prateeksha, in Juhu. BMC did it as part of its road-widening plan.
BMC destroyed the compound wall of the bungalow owned by businessman K.V. Satyamurthy. He is the immediate neighbour of megastar Amitabh Bachchan. And soon BMC likely to destroy Amitabh’s bungalow Prateeksha’s boundary wall as per the part of the above-mentioned plan.
Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Prashant Gaikwad told the Asian Age. “Six to seven feet plot where Amitabh Bachchan’s Prateeksha bungalow is located will be acquired soon. Mr Bachchan has not yet responded to our letters.”
According to the civic body’s plan, the 350-m road is being widened to 60 feet, from 45 feet. For Bachchan’s bungalow, 8-9 feet of land from the boundary wall is needed for the road widening plan. Following notices to both property owners, Satyamurthy refused to give up a portion of his land and moved to the court whereas Amitabh Bachchan Bachchan did not reply.
