In India, Apple has finally opened its first physical location. The shop, known as Apple BKC, is situated in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) neighbourhood. Customers will be able to explore Apple goods and services at the shop, and free Today at Apple sessions will teach them how to get the most out of their gadgets.
One of the most environmentally friendly establishments in the area, the store will operate carbon-neutrally, rely entirely on renewable energy, and have its own specialised solar array.
The store is located in the Jio World Drive shopping centre, along with outlets like Diesel, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, and Swarovski, and it spans two floors and 20,000 square feet.
Apple successfully negotiated to prevent 22 rival businesses, including Amazon, Facebook, Google, LG, Microsoft, Sony, and others, from renting space in the mall or placing advertisements there for an 11-year period. The Cupertino-based business will pay the store’s landlord 42 lakh per month in rent and provide a portion of its profits.
The business will launch its second location in Delhi on April 20 after finishing in Mumbai.
