India’s International musician, A.R Rahman who is already known for winning multiple Oscars recently added another charm to his pride, the Fukuoka prize. 

AR Rahman wins Fukuoka prize

The prestigious Fukuoka prize was established in the year 1990 to honor the work of extraordinary individuals and organizations to promote and preserve the diverse cultures of Asia. Some of the previous winners of this prize are Muhammad Yunus from Bangladesh, Mo Yan from China and Indian music director Ravi Shankar.

Some of the most brilliant music performances of A.R. Rahman can be seen in movies like ‘Rockstar’, Yuvraj’, ‘Ravaan‘ and Oscar-winning song ‘Jai Ho‘ from the movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
