Ashneer Grover, the creator of BharatPe and a Shark Tank India investor who first gained notoriety on television, is now a guest judge on MTV Roadies 19. He has teamed up with the show’s host Sonu Sood to assist him in selecting the final 10 competitors.
Ashneer Grover makes a dramatic entrance in a brand-new MTV Roadies 19 promo. He may be seen disputing with Gautam Gulati, a TV actor who uses the “Delhi card” to get the nominating process in his favour. In the promo, Gautam is heard saying, “Aap bhi Delhi se ho, main bhi Delhi se hun. To saath mein milkar kuch partnership karte hai” (You and I both are from Delhi. Let’s forge a partnership together)”.
Ashneer briskly responds, “Delhi, Delhi ka kya hai, sarkar thodi na banani hai yaha pe (Why are you saying Delhi-Delhi, are we forming the government here)?” Hereafter another contestant, Prince, tells the former, “Aap Delhi ke nahi, pure India ke ho (You are not just Delhi’s, but entire India’s).” Ashneer then points out, “Jo makhan wala part hai wo hata de” (Remove the bit where you’re buttering).”
In response to a tweet regarding the growing number of people using airport lounges, Ashneer tweeted, “There is more exclusivity in sitting in any airport restaurant and paying for your meal. Lounges are like free meal scheme canteens – with credit card as redeeming voucher!”
Ashneer Grover and his family, according to claims made by BharatPe a month ago, are responsible for losses of about 81.3 crore rupees due to illegal payments made to fake human resource consultants, inflated and excessive payments made to passthrough vendors connected to the accused, fraudulent input tax credit transactions and the payment of fines to the GST authorities, unauthorised payments made to travel agencies, forgeries by Madhuri Jain, and evidence destruction.
In December 2022, BharatPe accused Ashneer Grover and his family of fraud and filed a civil lawsuit seeking damages against them.
