Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, continues to dominate international box office figures. Director Atlee hinted at a potential future project with Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. Many fans believed Thalapathy Vijay would make a surprise cameo appearance in Jawan before it was released, but sadly that did not come to pass.

Atlee and Siddharth Kannan discussed a potential project partnership between the two superstars and how they both indicated desire in doing so. “Vijay sir and Shah Rukh sir, both said the same thing that ‘bring a script and we will work together’. I also thought that they were saying all this for my birthday as a gift. The next day, Vijay sir messaged me saying that if you are going to write such a script, I will be a part definitely. Shah Rukh sir, who was right next to me said ‘Sir, you are serious about this na? We will make a film together, right?'” he averred.
Atlee further added, “So, yes, every now and then they inquire about it and ask me whether I am seriously working on it or not, or if I am taking it as a joke. So, I am definitely, seriously working on it and I am hoping for it to crack someday.”

At the global box office, Jawan joined the 800 crore club. Jawan is on track to surpass 500 crore in India after being the quickest Hindi film to reach the 400 crore milestone in the nation. Shah Rukh plays both the twin roles of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad in the September 7 release. Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone make cameo appearances as well.
